Christophe Convert is the founder & director of Convert Solutions. He started the business in 2008 to try and make a difference in the engineering world asking himself how we can reduce the cost of a bill of material without losing on quality, fit & functions of a component or an assembly.
Prior to founding Convert Solutions, Christophe was a toolmaker for the plastic injection moulding industry, working in the “Plastic Valley” in France near Lyon, before working for tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry in the UK.
Christophe thinks out of the box with his greatest strengths being his creativity, positive attitude, and enjoying the thrill of a new challenge. He thrives on creative problem solving and recently proved all of this by helping Dashboard with their Limpet taking it from a 3D printed crude design to a production ready assembly, easily mounted in the field. He reduced the weight by half allowing it to be a one-man installation system on the pipelines.
In his free time, Christophe loves to spend time with his wife and 5 children, whom they home educate. Together they are converting an old pub into their family home. He also enjoys fishing, skiing, walking and meals with friends.
